Frequently Asked Questions

  • After that first initial email, I’m available for a consultation either in person or online to have a chat about your story and get to know each other a little bit before making any decisions.

If you decide I’m the right fit for you, a deposit will need to be paid and the contract signed to secure the date.

A month or so before the big day I’ll reach out to have pre-wedding meeting to discuss timelines and make a plan for the day! This would preferably be done in person as it means I’m not a complete stranger on the day, but a video call will work just as well if that’s not possible :)

  • Definitely! I would actively encourage this as it gives us a chance to tour the venue and pick your favourite spots for portraits, family shots etc. Its a great way to get a feel for the space and leave you feeling prepared and excited for the big day.

  • When i’m asked this question i’m reminded of an old teachers less than helpful line, ‘how long is a piece of string Nikki??’. Really there is no set amount of images given and every wedding is different! That being said, I’m known to be trigger happy and am a consistent over-shooter, I’ve haven’t delivered a full wedding day with anything under 900 images.

  • During busy periods it can anywhere from 8-12 weeks. I’m still working full time alongside photography (for now) and aim to get them out as quickly as I can. But I’ll always get the previews sent out within 24 hours to tide you over while you wait, or to give you a little something to post on instagram.

  • Absolutely no problem at all, I’d say most people are not used to having their photograph taken professionally. I know I definitely don’t like to be on the other side of the camera so I completely understand that feeling!

For this reason I like to keep things moving when it comes to portrait sessions, a quick pose and a few laughs and we’re outta there. I typically try and do one or two 15 - 20 minute sessions where we have a wee walk around and it gives you both a chance to catch up with each other and take a breather. But I’ll never make you do anything you are uncomfortable with, just say the word!

  • Not at all! While weddings are my main focus, I also photograph portraits, headshots, family shoots, maternity shoots, you name it. If it involves real people and real moments, I’m in!

  • Most definitely! Get in touch for a quote, I haven’t left the Isle of Ireland for a wedding just yet, but its something id love to do!
